Community Gardens

REC’s Urban Garden Resources of Worcester program (UGROW) coordinates a growing network of over 500 community gardeners at 60 urban community gardens, 20 of which are located within public schools. Together these gardens produce over 15,000 pounds of food annually.

UGROW provides the following services to garden sites:

  • Volunteer/Intern support for garden maintenance

  • Resource Guides & Gardening Advice

  • Free City Compost Delivery

  • Soil Testing Support

  • Free Seedlings from our Annual Plant Sale

  • An Official Garden Sign
